PURPOSE STATEMENT: To receive/check-in merchandise, assure that merchandise received matches invoice, and return damages product for credit.
SIGNIFICANT JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:To prepare the back room for receipt of merchandise and unload trucks. To count and inspect merchandise and match to invoice. To keep receiving area secure and damage reclaim area neat and organized. To assure the safety of self, customers and co-workers by understanding and practicing store safety rules and notifying a supervisor of any potential hazard immediately. Pick up/remove all broken containers, packing materials/boxes from the backroom floor. To perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors and manager, substituting for absent workers and performing any additional tasks necessary to provide products and services to customers during peak periods of business.
