_SUMMARY_

Hennepin Healthcare has a current opening for a Radiology Technologist or Radiology Technologist, Senior in our Radiology department. This casual position will work rotating shifts and schedule.

Under the direction of the area supervisor or lead technologist, performs imaging exams/procedures, provides patient care and technical functions to ensure quality radiographic images.

_RESPONSIBILITIES_

* Performs general radiographic and fluoroscopic exams as applicable
* Adequately prepares room for procedures
* Reviews and verifies exam requests to ensure correct exam is ordered on the correct patient
* Interviews patients and reviews available clinical data from charts to alert nurses and/or physicians to possible contraindications for procedure (labs, allergies, etc.)
* Ensures patients receive the same level of care as provided on patient’s unit
* Explains exam procedure to patient and family members who are present
