PWO Carpenter

Project Work (PWO) Carpenter performs construction, repairs and alterations of buildings and facilities. Keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered and identify and reports safety, environmental and other work requirements for resolution.

**Responsibilities**

+ Repairs and alters buildings and structures within stipulations of building codes. Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, and sketches, planning work accordingly.
+ Installs/Repair Wood Trusses, rafters, studs, sills, plates, braces, joists, floors, sub-floors, paneling, and siding. Selects lumber, materials, and supplies necessary for completion of various job assignments.
+ Fabricates and installs frames or casings for windows, doors, transoms, and ventilators.
+ Fabricates and installs shelves, counters, bulletin boards, cabinets, bookcases and related items.
