Job Purpose
The Senior Purchase Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end procurement of castings, raw materials, and mechanical components required for pharmaceutical machinery assembly. The role demands strong engineering knowledge, SAP/ERP proficiency, supplier management expertise, and adherence to quality and delivery requirements in a regulated pharma equipment environment.
Key Responsibilities
Procure castings, fabricated parts, raw materials, and mechanical components as per BOM and project requirements.
Handle vendor development, evaluation, and performance monitoring for mechanical and machining suppliers.
Ensure timely availability of materials to support machinery assembly and project schedules.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and contracts to achieve cost optimization.
Create and manage Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, and GRNs in SAP/ERP systems.
