Pulpit Operator – Continuous Casting Machine (CCM)

Responsibilities

• Operate and control the Continuous Casting Machine (CCM) from the pulpit control room to ensure safe and efficient production.
• Monitor casting parameters, machine performance, and process alarms through HMI SCADA systems and take corrective actions when required.
• Coordinate with Mold Operators, Field Operators, and Shift Supervisors to maintain uninterrupted casting operations.
• Ensure billet quality by controlling casting speed, mold level, cooling parameters, and other critical process variables.
• Maintain production records, report operational abnormalities, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 12th/ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgical, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience as a CCM Pulpit/Control Room Operator in a steel manufacturing plant.
