Summary This position is located inSequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, in the Visitor and Resource Protection Division. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as permanent appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work for approximately 11 months, and you will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year (4 weeks/2 pay periods from early February to early March). Responsibilities The incumbent serves as a Dispatcher for a Public Safety Communications Center that operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Center provides primary telecommunication and logistical support for day-to-day non-emergency communications and complex all-risk incidents including law enforcement, emergency medical dispatch, search and rescue, structural fire, and 9-1-1 services to the public.
