Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to oversee night shift operations for a major bridge survey and weld repair project in Birmingham. Working with a leading Tier 1 contractor, you will be responsible for managing on-site shift operations, surveying structural elements, briefing operative teams, and producing comprehensive daily shift reports.

Specialised or deep technical welding knowledge is not required for this role; your core focus will be setting out, surveying, engineering management, and shift reporting.

Candidate Responsibilities:

Deliver clear, detailed safety and operational briefings (TBS/RAMS) to site teams before each shift.
Conduct dimensional surveys and monitoring across the bridge structure to identify and log repair locations.
Monitor shift progress and produce concise, accurate end-of-shift engineering reports detailing completed works, delays, and planned next steps...
