**DESCRIPTION**
**A physical therapy technician is responsible for assisting the PT with non-clinical tasks and assisting in patient care. This may include the following: keeping treatment area organized and clean by sanitizing equipment such as tables and cardio, pull charts, assist patients with basic exercises, and help record progress at the therapist’s discretion.**
**PT Tech Job Duties:**
- Prepare treatment room for patient prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Prepare patients for PT treatment by welcoming patient, assisting them onto warm up equipment, assisting them to their treatment table
- Aides in the application of heat packs, cold packs, and assisting with basic exercises
- Aides in the progression of therapeutic exercises with therapist’s discretion
- Pulls patient charts for the following treatment day
- Educates patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment
