Project Designer, Utility Design

The Project Designer, Utility Design supports the Hamilton LRT project, responsible for preparing and reviewing dry utility design drawings, calculations, and as‑built drawings for utility and light rail transit (LRT) projects. The role ensures accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of design packages.

Responsibilities

• Complete moderate to complex design drawings, quantity calculations, and as‑built drawings for various types of utility and light rail transit (LRT) projects using software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, SPIDA Calc, PLS‑CADD, IKE Office, Pull Planner, and AGi32.
• Work with permit drawings, corridor plans, and municipal/city regulations to understand full project scope, including rail clearances, utility conflicts, and transit authority standards.
