Summary This position is located at the NCA First Notice of Death Office in St. Louis, MO. The incumbent serves in a cross-functional position that processes claims for memorial products, such as Government-furnished headstones, markers, medallions, plaques, urns, and Presidential Memorial Certificates (PMCs). THIS JOB WILL CLOSE WHEN WE HAVE RECEIVED 50 APPLICATIONS WHICH MAY BE SOONER THAN THE CLOSING DATE. Responsibilities Adjudicates and issues decisions for complex and sensitive claims for Government-furnished headstone, markers, medallions, plaques, urns, and PMCs. The incumbent is responsible for evaluating evidence and information such as military records, data stored in multiple VA systems, lay testimony, etc. submitted in connection with claims. Frequently conducts research, complexity of the research depends on the lack of information received, and requests for evidence and develop claims by applying pertinent Federal law, regulations, and Department policies.
