PURPOSE OF POSITION

To provide high-quality patient care according to the nursing scope of practice as defined by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care in accordance with the scope of practice, clinical guidelines, and organizational policies. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care while ensuring compliance with clinical care standards and care bundles. Monitor patient acuity and contribute to effective staffing decisions to ensure appropriate nursing care and skills mix. Ensure accurate patient documentation, billing-related information, and reconciliation of patient files. Promote effective stock management through correct usage, charging, monitoring of stock levels, and reporting shortages or expired items.
