Minimum requirements for the role:
- Must have a tertiary qualification in Agriculture
- Must have previous growing experience within Citrus
- Previous procurement experience would be preferred
- Solid understanding of Citrus quality, packing and logistics is required
- Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel when required
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Identifying, contracting with, and supervising local farmers to source high-quality Orange Valencia.
- Monitoring and evaluating the quality of produce to meet company standards.
- Identifying suitable packhouses for packing and storing sourced fruit.
- Engaging with packhouse management to ensure compliance with packaging standards and timelines.
- Overseeing the packing process to ensure fruit is being packed correctly and efficiently.
