Principal Policy Officer, Sector Funding Pricing & Budgets

About the role:
The Principal Policy Officer, Health Sector Funding & Budgets works within a team to support the strategic development and delivery of annual health service budgets and funding submissions, driving sustainable health system funding across government and with health services. The role leads analysis of health services expenditure and cost drivers, develops funding policy options to improve the integrity of modelled hospital budgets, and prepares high-quality briefing and stakeholder engagement materials to communicate funding requirements and reform objectives.
The role is a great opportunity to demonstrate and build on the full set of public sector leadership skills, including providing expert advice on health funding impacts, collaborating and negotiating with finance, performance, and central agencies, and driving the design and implementation of funding policies that improve fiscal sustainability.
