This role provides strategic, technical, and work programme leadership and advice to support the development, delivery, and ongoing evolution of reusable data products in the IDI, across Stats NZ and in collaboration across the wider data system.

The role works across organisational and agency boundaries to coordinated delivery, ensuring the Code Modules function/approach is effectively applied across key initiatives including IDI, ISDS, Census, and the broader admin-data-first strategy.

The Principal Advisor brings thought leadership and expert advice, operating as a key point of cohesion across teams and stakeholders, and working with and through others to enable consistent, high-quality outcomes across a distributed delivery model.
