Qualifications
- Languages: English
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience
- Experience: 3 to less than 5 years in welding
- On‑site work required: no remote option
- Work site setting: dusty, noisy, odours, heavy equipment
- Work setting: industrial, metal products manufacturing, aluminum plant, heavy machinery manufacturing
Responsibilities
- Interpret welding process specifications
- Operate manual or semi‑automatic, fully automated welding equipment
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals and processes
- Examine welds and ensure they meet standards and/or specifications
- Fit, braze and torch‑straighten metal
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
- Read blueprints, schemas and drawings
- Communicate technical problems, processes and solutions
- Work with minimal supervision
