Postdoctoral Researcher, Spatial Statistics & Big Data

Karlstad University is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in Helsinki to develop statistical methods for large spatial datasets. The role entails working on the DIVSPOT project, focusing on innovative methodologies for spatial point patterns with applications in forestry and biological studies.

The ideal candidate will hold a PhD (or be nearing completion) in a relevant field and possess strong expertise in spatial statistics, programming skills in R (Python is advantageous), alongside the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
