Vacancy Description
Analyze proprioceptive signaling in larval Drosophila using two-photon tracking microscopy developed in the Gershow lab. The postdoctoral researcher will design and conduct imaging experiments, analyze volumetric imaging datasets, and interpret results. There will also be the opportunity for tool development in microscopy and image analysis.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $62,500.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer .
This position is based in New York and the selected candidate will be expected to work onsite as of their effective start date.
PhD in Physics, neuroscience, biology or a related field. Experience in optics, programming, and/or Drosophila neurobiology desired but not essential.
