Overview

The Höpfler lab at the Institute for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is offering a postdoctoral position focused on RNA biology and gene regulation. The role involves leading a project to develop sequencing methods that identify messenger RNA (mRNA) decay substrates and to decipher the mechanisms of degradation.

Responsibilities

• Develop sequencing approaches to identify peptide-mediated mRNA decay (PMD) substrates
• Perform bioinformatic data analysis and visualization of sequencing datasets
• Identify and mechanistically characterize PMD candidate substrates
• Present data at international conferences and prepare manuscripts
• Lead and manage international collaborations
• Actively participate in lab meetings and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and scientific curiosity
