Duties and Responsibilities

Position SummaryThe laboratory of Dr. Rama Shankar at Loyola University Chicago is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join a newly established research program focused on systems immunology and multi-omics approaches to study sepsis, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), and critical illness. The successful candidate will lead innovative projects integrating single-cell and bulk transcriptomics, epigenomics, and clinical data to identify immune mechanisms and biomarkers associated with disease progression and outcomes.Key Responsibilities

Lead independent and collaborative research projects

Analyze and integrate multi-omics datasets

Develop computational pipelines using R/Python

Collaborate with clinical teams

Prepare manuscripts and contribute to grant applications

Mentor students and research staff
