Overview

To support and assist me out in the local community. I have a diagnosis of autism, ADHD and am non‑verbal. I need a personal assistant to help with risk safety, independence and communication using my tablet and gestures.

Responsibilities

• Support me in local community activities.
• Assist with risk recognition and personal safety.
• Ensure two‑person escort at all times.
• Encourage and foster my independence.
• Maintain active and energetic support to keep pace.
• Recognise and respond to challenge behaviours.
• Distract and redirect when distressed.
• Help navigate the environment safely and reduce risk of harm.
• Identify emotional triggers (e.g., crying babies, waiting) and redirect appropriately.
• Provide high‑level supervision to maintain safety.
