**Job Title: Plumbing Mechanic**
**Job Description**
This role directs the installation of plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures on a variety of construction projects. The plumbing mechanic plans, lays out, participates in, and supervises plumbing work both on job sites and in the shop. The position operates with a high level of independence on most assignments, while receiving general direction on larger construction and modification projects to ensure compliance with specifications and building codes.
**Responsibilities**
+ Plan and lay out plumbing installations for construction, retrofit, addition, pharmaceutical, and new construction projects up to five stories.
+ Direct and supervise plumbing work on job sites and in the shop, including coordinating and guiding helpers and junior mechanics.
