About the role
This is a permanent, part‑time position in the Hospital Play Specialist Team and the position can work across all wards, but the current need is in the Childrens Emergency Department at Starship for 2 days per week, 10am to 10pm . The Hospital Play Specialists work with all age groups supporting infants, children and young people to become confident and competent learners within the context of their hospital experience. With a strong educational and psycho‑social framework that supports whānau involvement, we facilitate childrens continued development and their ability to cope successfully with challenges related to their hospital visit.
