Plasma Cutting Table Operator

Job Description Job Description May Ship Repair is seeking a Plasma Cutting Table Operator to join our team at our shipyard facility. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC plasma cutting equipment and reading technical drawings in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC plasma cutting table to cut steel plates according to work orders and drawings
• Load and unload materials on the cutting table using overhead cranes or forklifts
• Interpret technical drawings, nesting layouts, and cutting programs
• Perform daily equipment checks and preventative maintenance
• Ensure parts are labeled, organized, and ready for welding or fitting
• Maintain accurate records of material usage and part traceability
• Follow all safety protocols and report any equipment or safety issue
