Burner Operator Duties & Responsibilities

Review work orders and production paperwork to determine cutting requirements.

Plan material placement on cutting tables and group orders by material thickness.

Prioritize work based on supervisor instructions, customer requests, and production schedules.

Locate and stage materials from inventory, storage racks, and staging areas.

Select and operate appropriate material-handling equipment, including chains, plate hooks, magnets, spreader bars, and lifting devices.
