Responsibilities SUMMARY: PRIMARY PURPOSE: To serve as Chief of Plans in the Directorate of Plans, Policy, and Programs, directing operational plans officers during campaign, contingency, and crisis planning activities and managing employees assigned to Alaskan Command (ALCOM), a United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) subordinate unified (sub-unified) command. Coordinates and synchronizes ALCOM operational planning with NORAD and USNORTHCOM (N&NC) staffs and Service and functional components, USEUCOM and USINDOPACOM staffs, and Federal and State of Alaska interagency counterparts. Shapes the environment in support of N&NC military objectives and U.S. Government (USG) strategic objectives in Homeland Defense (HD) and Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA).
