Summary The James J. Peters VA Medical Center is seeking a Physician (Pulmonary & Critical Care) to be an integral part of the Specialty Care Service at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center. The incumbent applicant should possess leadership, energy, compassion, and commitment to serve those who serve our Country. Responsibilities The Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient specialty care within the James J. Peters VA Medical Center. Responsibilities include: - Provide inpatient ICU care in 12 hour day/night shifts for medical, surgical, and cardiac patients, working with resident teams and a critical care fellow. - Perform and supervise critical care procedures, including central line placement, endotracheal intubation, bronchoscopy (including EBUS), thoracentesis, and chest tube placement. - Lead cardiac arrest and rapid response teams. - Supervise and teach residents and fellows, supporting the academic mission. - Provide outpatient pulm...
