Physician- Interventional Cardiologist

Summary The Interventional Cardiologist Staff Physician is an academic physician responsible for carrying out operations of the Cardiology Section of the Medicine Service by primarily supervising the care of Cardiology patients in the setting of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Responsibilities Provide inpatient and outpatient care to Cardiology patients Collaborate with the Section Chief in determining the mission and objectives of the Section Participates in the education, training, and research missions of the Section and Service Supervises Cardiology Fellows, Internal Medicine residents and students Consults with the supervisor as needed and with colleagues to develop knowledge and apply agency policies and practices to new matters Reports to the Chief of Medicine through the Cardiology Section Chief Provide effective communication skills with nursing staff; other disciplines; patients to facilitate treatment planning and implementation; discharge planning; and continuity of care P...
