**Job Summary and Qualifications**

**Job Summary:**

**The Phlebotomist performs venipuncture procedures to obtain blood specimens and sends or delivers the specimens to the laboratory in a timely manner. The phlebotomist will be expected to draw blood from babies, children, adolescents, adults, and elderly patients on a daily basis.**

**Qualifications:**

+ **High School diploma or equivalent**
+ **Completion of a certified phlebotomy course (strongly preferred)**
+ **Demonstrated phlebotomy experience**
