This Phlebotomist II role focuses on performing high-quality specimen collection while supporting daily laboratory operations in a fast-paced environment. You will carry out venipunctures and other specimen collections, ensure accurate labeling and handling of samples, assist with troubleshooting and training, and recommend workflow improvements to maintain efficiency and patient safety.
Responsibilities
+ Perform venipunctures and other blood draws using straight needles and butterfly needles in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
+ Collect and store blood, urine, fecal, and other specimens according to established procedures and protocols.
+ Clearly and courteously explain the venipuncture and specimen collection process to patients to ensure understanding and comfort.
+ Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes to ensure accurate identification and traceability.
