Vacancy Description
Job Description
CIC energiGUNE is recruiting a predoctoral researcher to develop, adapt and validate recycling strategies for next‑generation lithium‑ion battery waste containing silicon–graphite anode materials, with a focus on both manufacturing scraps and end‑of‑life black mass (i.e. end of life batteries).
Main job functions
- Develop and test lab‑scale recycling routes using different physico‑chemical separation processes for lithium‑ion battery materials containing silicon–graphite anodes, including production scraps and black mass.
- Carry out basic process optimisation steps such as material pretreatment, delamination, leaching, purification and recovery of valuable battery materials.
- Characterise recovered materials using common physicochemical and electrochemical techniques, in collaboration with specialised researchers when needed.
- Analyze experimental results, prepare reports and contribute to scientific publication...
