PhD: Multimodal Generative AI for Materials Discovery

EPFL in Lausanne invites two PhD students to develop innovative multimodal generative AI methods for materials design, as part of a large ERC Synergy project.

Candidates should hold a strong MSc in Engineering, CS, Physics, or Applied Mathematics, with English proficiency and interest in diffusion models, multimodal AI, and learning theory. A doctoral program application is required; contract term starts with 1‑year fixed term, renewable for four years.
