Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
The Pharmacy Technician position supports pharmacists in entering, processing, and managing drug therapy orders, interpreting and dispensing prescriptions, and maintaining patient and pharmacy records. This role also collaborates with Leads in resolving issues and completing project tasks. As a subject matter expert in pharmacy operations, the Pharmacy Technician ensures accurate and efficient service delivery.
Responsibilities
+ Assist pharmacists with pharmacy practices in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA guidelines.
+ Interpret healthcare provider’s prescription orders and accurately enter them into the core pharmacy system.
+ Notify physicians of incomplete or incorrect prescription information and perform physician outreach as needed.
+ Manage patient adherence process and schedule medication deliveries according to Pharmacy Solutions guidelines.
