Overview

As a member of the department of pharmacy team, you are responsible for the day to day activities related to the responsible provision of medication therapy management including provision of pharmaceutical care, teaching professional students and staff, supervision of technical personnel and distribution activities.

Pharmaceutical Care / Clinical Services

To provide direct patient care in the management of drug therapy to achieve positive patient health outcomes in medicine, surgery or critical care, and coverage to other patient care areas as needed.

Direct patient care focuses on electronic verification of medication orders; selection and assessment of patients requiring pharmaceutical care; identifying, resolving and preventing drug related problems; patient education; electronic medication reconciliation; continuity of patient care; and the provision of drug information.
