Payroll manager (Oakville)

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 3 payroll professionals; provides training and coaching to team members and assists in monitoring workloads and high standards of work, quality and organizational performance is achieved.


• Manage and guarantee weekly and bi‑weekly disbursement of multi‑province payroll.


• Complete payroll programming for collective agreements and understand the urgency with regard to union requirements.


• Interpret collective agreements and ensure compliance to annual changes.


• Serve as subject matter expert in payroll for UKG configurations, ERP implementation, other payroll projects including being part of various project teams and acting as project lead as required.


• Make improvements to payroll set‑up.


• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Regional General Managers, District Managers and Branches.
