Patient Transportation Partner - 24 Hours per Week - Days (7a-3:30p) - Detroit

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under the close direction of the Support Services management team, transports patients, charts, equipment and items safely and efficiently throughout the hospital and or clinic areas.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Transports the combined weight of equipment and patients safely and efficiently independently between nursing units, diagnostic areas, clinics, emergency department, the morgue at some sites and other areas of the hospital.

· Acts as the primary customer service liaison for the hospital during the transport of patients. Communicates customer service related issue to proper nursing or management staff.

· Transfers patients to and from the bed to wheelchair, stretcher, etc. May be required to move furniture in patient's room and seek assistance from nursing staff in order to successfully transfer the patient.
