Capilano University is seeking a part-time Settlement Services Assistant starting July 1, 2026, to support immigrants in North Vancouver. This role focuses on community integration and public service access.
Under limited supervision from the Dean of Education, Health and Human Development, the assistant will provide essential resources for immigrants. Responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, facilitating mentoring programs, and promoting immigration services across Sechelt, Squamish, Whistler, and Pemberton. Excellent customer service skills and cultural sensitivity are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide settlement services to individual immigrants and groups
• Promote settlement programs within the local community
• Conduct interviews with community organizations and clients
• Create and implement mentoring/hosting programs
• Support community integration and communication efforts
