Personal Care Assistant
The Personal Care Assistant provides direct support to students with disabilities, focusing on both behavioral and academic development. This role involves working one-on-one with students to implement individualized educational programs as directed by their case manager. Responsibilities include assisting with instruction, supporting daily living activities, and ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide instructional support in areas such as cognitive development, motor skills, feeding, self-care, and behavior regulation under the direction of the classroom teacher.
Monitor and maintain a safe environment, especially for students with physical disabilities, by anticipating and mitigating potential hazards.
Assist students with personal hygiene tasks including handwashing, toileting, diapering, and clothing changes.
