DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for participating in the safe application of industrial coatings to a variety of new and older mobile oilfield service equipment using standard and/or non-standard tools, equipment, and procedures. Using considerable judgment to ensure quality and/or proper procedures are used Material preparation – masking, blowing, sanding and preparing components Painting – selecting and mixing paints, operating painting equipment including pumps and guns Abrasive blasting – occasionally operating abrasive blasting equipment to prepare components for paint Read equipment assembly specifications, such as charts, schematics, blueprints, and typed instructions and details Brings technical problems encountered to the Lead Hand’s attention for resolution throughout the project Participate in regular shop/yard organization and cleanliness exercises Train new employees in painting/preparat...
