**Position Summary**

Apply coats of paint to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces of pipe, structural steel, trimmings, fixtures of buildings and other structures.

**Primary Responsibilities and Duties**

• Prep materials for paint by grinding, sanding, de-greasing, seam sealing, etc.
• Operate conventional and airless spray equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metal and other types of surfaces.
• Applies paints, surface preparatory materials and undercoating materials to a variety of surfaces, as appropriate.
• Remove old paint from surfaces and properly prepare surfaces to receive paint; fill holes, cracks, and joints with filler.
• Place items or products on feed racks, spindles, or reel strands to coat, paint, or spray them, using hands, hoists, or truck lifts.
