**Job Description**
The Paint Prep Laborer prepares, assembles, and disassembles vehicles for painting and protective coating applications in a fast-paced job shop environment. This role focuses on surface preparation, operation of spray equipment, and basic maintenance of painting tools while following detailed work orders throughout the day.

**Responsibilities**

+ Assemble and disassemble vehicles and related components in preparation for painting.
+ Clean, sand, and scuff vehicle surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paint and coatings.
+ Perform daily preventative maintenance on painting equipment to keep tools and machinery in safe, reliable working condition.
+ Operate spray guns to apply bed liners and other coatings according to specifications.
+ Follow work orders accurately throughout the day to complete tasks in the correct sequence and within required timeframes.
