**Job Title: Overhaul Mechanic**
**Job Description**
The Overhaul Mechanic supports heavy maintenance of commercial aircraft by repairing and certifying critical mechanical units to ensure safe in-flight operations. This role is based in the component shop area of a large maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility and focuses on testing, troubleshooting, disassembling, repairing, reassembling, and documenting work on a wide range of aircraft mechanical equipment and related systems.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform testing, troubleshooting, disassembly, repair, reassembly, and final testing on various aircraft mechanical equipment and related systems, including power control units, transmissions, latches, spoiler mixers, gear boxes, and stab actuators.
+ Work from diagrams, schematics, and tool lists to select and use appropriate hand and power tools, including sockets, wrenches, measurement tools, and other specialized equipment.
