About the role
Take your trade to the next level through Hydro Tasmania’s structured training program, designed to prepare you for a career as an Operator Maintainer. You’ll join the business as a qualified tradesperson and enter the program as a Trainee Power Station Operator, training to operate and maintain iconic hydro power stations across Tasmania.
Working across the West Coast region you will gain hands-on experience with industrial‑scale renewable energy assets while building operational and maintenance capability through Hydro’s Training School. As you progress through the program and reach key milestones, you’ll be signed off as an Operator Maintainer, taking on greater responsibility while supporting safe, reliable power generation for Tasmania and the National Electricity Market.
Starting Salary $103,787 plus area allowance and plus super. In addition, you will be on an accelerated career progression framework.
