Ocean Freight Operations Executive

C.H. Robinson is seeking an Ocean Freight Operations Executive or Global Forwarding Agent (GFA) to join the global freight forwarding team in Malaysia. In this role you will manage a portfolio of global customers as their primary point of contact, overseeing the shipment lifecycle of their import shipments and ensuring timely communication, reporting, and email management.

Responsibilities

Maintain Operational Excellence:

• Understand the processes, documentation, and terminology involved in international shipping from the time of purchase order issuance through delivery of the cargo.
• Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes and create solutions in response to challenges both internally and externally.
• Coordinate tasks on shipments to meet all customer SOP requirements: booking approvals, processing pre‑alerts, governmental filings, executing delivery, ensuring proper invoicing, and more.
