Responsibilities
- Assess physical, cognitive, and emotional needs of patients.
- Develop personalized treatment plans to improve daily functioning.
- Provide therapeutic interventions (exercises, adaptive techniques, assistive tools).
- Recommend environmental adaptations for safety and accessibility.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals (doctors, therapists, etc).
- Educate patients and families on techniques for improved independence.
- Track and document patient progress.
- Specialize in areas like geriatrics, or neurological rehabilitation.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
- Full registration with Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
