Occupational Therapist

Job summary
We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work within the Locality Therapy Team within the West of Cornwall. The team consists of Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Rehabilitation Officers for the Hearing Impaired, a Vision Rehabilitation Specialist and Technical Officers.

Main duties of the job

• You will be responsible for undertaking person-centred, strength-based assessments to enable people who have long term physical health / social care needs to maximise their functional and occupational performance in order to be able to continue to live safely and independently within their local communities. As part of this, you will be involved in focusing upon preventing, reducing and delaying the need for care and support. This, in turn, will help to ensure that our residents, families, and communities have the right support in the right place at the right time.
