Occupational Therapist I

Responsibilities

This position works within two allied health teams to provide occupational therapy services to residents at Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre and Lloydminster Continuing Care – both Type A Continuing Care Homes. As an Occupational Therapist (OT), you will provide evidence-informed services with a focus on occupational performance designed to meet the needs of individuals, groups, or a community. Your role involves triage, screening, consultation, assessment, diagnosis, collaborative goal setting, treatment, prevention, self-management, education, case management, referral, transition support, and collaboration with stakeholders in the client’s physical, institutional, cultural, and social environments. You will engage individuals, groups, and families, encouraging active participation in care, and participate in interprofessional teams to advance services and quality improvement.
