Job Description
- To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of own work and to ensure a high standard of clinical care for patients under own care and support other team members to do likewise
- To undertake a comprehensive, highly specialist Occupational therapy assessment of patients including those with the most complex presentation, using advanced investigative and analytical skills
- To select appropriate treatment techniques, this may include improving independence in ADLs, provide the necessary assistive devices, conducting seating assessments etc.
- To safely use the splinting techniques in accordance with the PIMC guidelines formulated.
- To conduct a seating assessment to provide a suitable seating system for patients.
- To review and evaluate patient’s condition at each session and amend the treatment program as necessary to achieve planned objectives
