Nutritionist - Dietitian

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Nutritionist-Dietitian is responsible for planning and conducting food service or nutritional programs to assist in the promotion of health and control of the disease. May supervise activities of a department providing quantity food services, counsel individuals, or conduct nutritional research.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Assess patients’ nutritional needs, diet restrictions, and current health plans to develop and implement dietary care plans and provide nutritional counseling.
2. Consult with physicians and a healthcare professional to determine the patient’s nutritional needs and diet restrictions.
3. Conduct individual counseling, especially to a patient under pre‑ and post‑operation on the basic rules of good nutrition and healthy eating habits to attain optimum nutrition and fast recovery.
