DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
The Nursing Assistant provides physical patient care in a safe manner under the direction of the Licensed Nurse. SUPERVISION: Reports directly to Nurse Manager and/or Charge Nurse
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Demonstrates competency in use of technology and computers for patient charting and related functions. Provides physical patient care in a safe manner under the direction of the Licensed Nurse. Performs or assists patient with activities of daily living (showering, bathing, dressing, feeding, activity). Communicates abnormal variances of data (vital signs, pain, etc) to appropriate staff. Collects information regarding patient/patient condition: vital signs, intake and output, food intake. Consistently utilizes basic decision making skills to complete routine tasks.
