Support GYN oncology patients as a Nurse Practitioner at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center, offering .6 FTE in Bellingham, WA. Engage in patient care, chemotherapy management, and clinic operations during weekdays.
This new service in the OB Gyn department requires a flexible Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a minimum of 1 year post-training experience, preferably in Oncology. The candidate will assist with triaging patients, writing treatment orders, and managing chemotherapy side effects. Rounding at the hospital for post-operative patients is also a key responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist patients undergoing chemotherapy and manage side effects
• Triaging patients and writing orders as necessary
• Provide post-operative care and occasional hospital rounding
• Collaborate in building a new service in the OB Gyn department
• Utilize Epic EHR for patient records and documentation
